Live Edge Wood Creations and Fractal Art

My Story

How you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 1982, living in Glendale, Arizona at the time, newly married, with no furniture, I decided to build my own coffee table, dining table, chairs and an entertainment center. Fast forward to 2015,  I started to acquire and recover logs from weathered down trees, individual homeowners and tree services. I would cut the logs into slabs, kiln dry and create 100% sustainable, repurposed live edge wood functional art.  Today, I create live edge fractal art charcuterie boards, magnetic knife and firearm holders, guitar hangers, fractal wall art, live edge dining tables accent table, front entry tables, coffee tables, sofa tables.

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a business on your own always has its challenges. There are budgetary costs to consider from buying equipment and tools, supplies, managing social media outlets and attending local venue art shows to get plenty of exposure. It’s requires your 100% mental and physical attention to detail. It is daily hard work every day but very satisfying because you create something so unique that I could not duplicate what I just created. The key to is have the passion and the love for what you do and the rest will follow. I was always told that you have to prospect every day and reinvent yourself.

What kind of art do you create?
My creations include live edge wood designs, fractal art, functional art, epoxy inlay, resin table, live edge guitar hanger, live edge furniture, charcuterie board, magnetic knife holder, magnetic firearm holder, centerpiece art, repurposed art, home décor centerpieces, wood art designs, fractal wood art, bathroom essentials, kitchen essentials. You think it, I’ll create it.

What are you known for or you specialize in?
I specialize in fractal art design on live edge wood. It is a process of applying 20,000 volts of electricity to the wood surface recreating a lightning strike in slow motion as well as unique abstract figures, tree and vein like shapes. It is sealed with high grade epoxy inlay with choice of any color ink.

What sets you apart from others?
Patience, persistence, passion and attention to detail are the key ingredients to my work. My goal is for my clients to have a piece of art that they cherish, and know that it is truly one of a kind and made especially for them. None of the art I create uses CNC machine. Each item is handcrafted and made in Arizona.

What are you looking forward to or planning to do in the future?
My plans for the future is to have my repurposed art I create to be at every household all over the world. I am looking forward to have my live edge fractal art guitar hanger go to all of my Rockstar guitarists of my generation who has inspired me to play guitar and kept me out of trouble. That would be so cool!
